EATING A BALANCED DIET
Our body needs different nutrients to function properly. Eating a diet that contains the required proportions of every food group is necessary. Consuming the required amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins, carbohydrates, nuts, and fats in our diet is important for our body to stay healthy. Not getting balanced nutrition can make our body prone to diseases, infections and we may face growth and developmental issues.
Regular physical activity is important to keep our body fit. It can also help in strengthening the muscles. Doing exercise daily helps to keep your heart and lung health healthier. Exercise also releases the hormone “endorphins” that are known as the body’s natural painkillers and mood lifters. Engaging in physical activity on a regular basis can help you lose weight. Exercise not only helps you in physical health but also to maintain your mental health. Working out can help ease symptoms of depression and anxiety.
GETTING A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP
Sleep is essential for the physical and mental health of our bodies. The requirement of sleep varies between different individuals. However, some people need at least 8 hours of sleep to function properly but for some people, 6-7 hours works fine. Recommended sleep for a healthy adult is at least 7 hours. Enough sleep helps in reducing stress and improves our mood. Not taking adequate rest, can make your memory weak and can also make you prone to some serious health conditions.
